Panama's August consumer price index rises 3.6 percent in annual terms

Panama's consumer price index in the national urban areas rose 0.5 percent in August from the previous month, the Statistics and Census office said.

The prices of food and beverage rose 0.9 percent. The price increases were partly offset by a 0.2 percent decline in education costs.

In the 12-month period through August, consumer prices rose 3.6 percent.
