Panama's Cinta Costera 3 nears completion

The third phase of Panama's Cinta Costera, part of a major road development plan, is 91 percent complete and is expected to be delivered next month.

The third phase seeks to integrate deprived areas such as El Chorrillo, Barraza and San Felipe, to Panama's economic development by improving road connectivity, security and infrastructure.

The third phase, built by Brazil's Odebrecht, includes a $776-million tunnel connecting two major thoroughfares, sports facilities, 840 parking spaces and 24-hour security.
