Panama's Colon Free Trade Zone continues to slump

Trade activity at Panama's Colón Free Trade Zone dropped 17.4 percent in the period from January to May this year, compared with the same period last year, according to the zone's administrator.
The figure represents activity that reached $1.9 billion.
Re-exports from the zone reached little more than $1 billion in the period, a 19.7 percent drop compared with the same period last year.
