Panama’s Colón Free Zone expects to achieve $24 billion in sales this year

With some 3,000 companies trading $10 billion in trading of merchandise in the first five months of this year, the Colón Free Zone in Panama announced its full-year projections.
“By the end of this year we expect sales of more than $24 billion. That means an average of $2 billion a month,” said the free zone manager, Leopoldo Benedetti.
Last year, the zone had a workforce of 30,500.
