Panama's container ports showed 18.5 percent growth in volume handled last year

Panama's container ports saw 18.5 percent growth during 2011, compared with 2010.

The ports handled 6.62 million TEUs, compared with the 3.95 million TEUs during 2010.

The ports which grew the most and handled the highest volume of containers were Colón and Balboa.
