Panama's economy grows 4.2 percent

Panama's economy grew 4.2 percent in the first quarter this year, compared with the same period in 2013.

Fishing, transport, communications, financial services, hotels and restaurants, among others, led growth in the period, according to government statistics.

Mining and construction however, two of the countries strongest sectors, reported minimal growth.
