Panama's exports remain stagnant
Friday, October 10, 2014
Panama's exports of goods have grown 0.1 percent so far this year.
The figure is in line with the rest of Latin America and the Caribbean, where sales have been stagnant for three straight years, according to the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean, ECLAC.
The slow growth rate corresponds to a low external demand, mainly from Europe, as well as a drop in inter-regional trade.
