Panama’s free trade accord with the United States is still lingering on the shelf, after four years of waiting

Washington’s White House has still not set a date for sending pending free trade agreements, including one with Panama. to Congress.

The Senate Republican leader, Mitch McConnell urged President Obama to soon send to Congress for consideration three pending free trade agreements with Colombia, Panama and South Korea.

But the White House has not said when it plans to submit the treaties to Congress. They have been awaiting ratification by legislators for over four years.
