\ Assets of Panama’s International Banking Center reached $75.8 billion at the end of the second quarter of this year, an increase of 15 percent on the same period a year earlier.\ \ Of that amount, the domestic banking system accounts for $60.9 billion.\ \ The credit portfolio played a major role in the increase by reaching $25.9 billion.
