Panama spends $2.6 billion on services for bureaucrats

Panama’s government plans to spend $2.59 billion on personal services for its bureaucrats next year, according to the nation’s Budget.
The figure amounts to 19 percent of the total Budget, and 11.5 percent more than this year. In May, the government reported a workforce of 170,000 employees.
