Panama state payroll surges despite plan for cuts

Panama’s state payroll this year through August increased in 4 per cent and the wages paid to public servants went up by 12.5 percent.

The reality of the increases contrasts with spending cuts ordered to have been made by the President Juan Carlos Varela.
