Panama to change decade-old insurance law
Monday, July 25, 2011
\
For the first time in 10 years, Panama’s insurance laws are soon to be changed by the National Assembly.\
\
The need for the new rules was highlighted by the collapse of British American Insurance, which left 25,000 clients and employees without adequate compensation.\
\
The new rules will ensure that companies wil be restricted in the use of reserves outside of Panama.\
