Panama to promote tourism from airport

Monday, September 1, 2014

Panama's Tocumen international airport will be used by the country's companies and tourism authority as a platform to showcase the nation's tourism, shopping and event hosting attractiveness.

The public-private initiative includes the use of stalls within the airport's duty-free shopping area, so that travellers with connecting flights can learn about Panama's natural, gastronomic and cultural destinations.

"We are seeking to boost tourism, so we will continue to promote the country at a national and international level," said Jesús Sierra, administrator at the Panama Tourism Authority.
