Panama will grow 8 percent this year, says BBVA
The economy of Panama could grow just over 8 percent this year, according to a study by Spain's BBVA.
Next year, the bank expects the country's economy to grow at a slightly lower rate of 7.6 percent.
Growth will be boosted by development of large residential, mining and energy projects, said Juana Téllez, research director at BBVA Panama and Colombia.
