Pani-Fresh wins exporter of the year in Guatemala

The Guatemalan bakery Pani-Fresh won its nation’s award as exporter of the year.

Pani-Fresh was launched as a family bakery business in 1958 before forming a 1991 alliance with California-based Fresh Start Bakeries.

Now the company is the leading provider of hamburger rolls and pies for the McDonald’s chain. Its products are distributed throughout the Caribbean, Central America, Brazil and Venezuela.
