Parma aims to scoop the cream of Central America

Thursday, August 26, 2010

Backed by a history almost half a century, Guatemala’s Parma accounts for 43 percent of the country market in dairy products. Now it aims to broaden its horizons.

Parma already exports about 10 percent of its production to El Salvador and Honduras. The company is also in talks with Walmart for the distribution of its products throughout Central America.

Parma has seven shops of its own in Guatemala. Five are in the capital, one in Quetzaltenango, and the other in the processing plant.
