Pena Nieto wins but has no blank check

Mexican voters have issued a positive verdict at midway in the six-year administration of President Enrique Peña Nieto, whose economic reforms have been lauded endlessly by the international financial community.

Peña Nieto’s party, the PRI, won fairly comfortably in mid-term elections, but suspicions of corruption still dog his government.
