Peru and Guatemala reach agreement on free trade accord. Almost all Peruvian exports will enter Guatemala duty-free

Peru reached an understanding and concluded negotiations on a free trade agreement, Peru’s Foreign Trade and Tourism Minister Jose Luis Silva said.
The minister noted that 94.7 percent of Peruvian exports will enter Guatemala duty free for a maximum of five years.
Meanwhile, 81.4 percent of imports from Guatemala will be exempted on taxes in five years or less, when the accord comes into effect.
