Peru and Honduras seek free trade accord

Peruvian President Ollanta Humala Tasso and his Honduran counterpart Juan Orlando Hernandez met this weel on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meeting in New York and expressed their willingness to conclude negotiations on a free trade agreement soon.

In August this year, high- level delegations of the two countries met in the Peruvian capital in order to resume stalled negotiations and define the route to be followed for the completion of the negotiating process.

Pending issues to reach such an agreement include tariff elimination, exchange of services and public procurement.
