Petaquilla given deadline by Toronto exchange

Petaquilla Minerals, the troubled Canadian mining operation that seeks to extract gold at the Molejón mine in Donoso, Colón, has just two weeks to deliver financial information for the fiscal year 2013-2014 or be removed from the stock market.

The stark warning and the March 2 deadline comes from the Toronto Stock Exchange which, on December 31, ordered the suspension of trading of the shares of Petaquilla after the company failed to meet a two-month extension granted by the Canadian regulator.
