Political paralysis dulls the glitter from Costa Rica’s economic achievements

Many Costa Ricans are worried by the paralysis that has become the default mode of the nation’s politics.

Most of the other Central American countries lag behind Costa Rica in terms of human resources, the main factor that a country requires for development.

At the same time, however, several of Costa Rica’s neighbors, such as Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama, have devised creative ways in which to make their economies more dynamic.
