Pollo Campero vs. Pollo Pinulito in chicken war

Competition is fierce among Guatemala’s fried chicken chains after Pollo Pinulito opened 100 restaurants with low-cost menus all over the country.

Market leader Pollo Campero has responded with four Pollo Campero Express stalls in Guatemala City and Chimaltenango aimed at low-income consumers.

It appears to be no coincidence that the Express units are located right in front of, or alongside of, Pollo Pinulito locations.
