Portability could cost Costa Rica's Kölbi 200,000 clients

Thursday, January 10, 2013

As much as 5 percent of the portable phone subscribers of the Costa Rican state power utility, the ICE, are expected to quit its Kölbi brand once the portability of numbers is introduced next month.

The industry regulator expects about 3 to 4 percent of all mobile phone users will switch.

If the forecasts are realized, Kölbi would lose 200,000 subscribers.
