President Varela announces dates for Metro Line 2 and second terminal of Tocumen airport

Juan Carlos Varela, the president of Panama, announced that the inauguration of Line 2 of the Metro will be on April 25.

In addition, terminal 2 of the Tocumen international airport will be opened on April 29. Both events are within a short time of the upcoming general elections that are to be held on May 15.

In January, Tocumen S.A. the airport's operator, freed some of the gates of Terminal 2 to handle the World Youth Day festival. So far construction of the terminal has cost $879 million, La Prensa reports in Spanish.
