PriceSmart registers second-quarter growth of 31 percent aimid growing sales

PriceSmart's fiscal second-quarter earnings rose 31 percent as the discount club-store operator reported stronger sales.

PriceSmart, which is based in California but operates warehouse shopping clubs in Central America and the Caribbean, has continued to post improved results lately as it continues to expand. 

The company also reported same-store sales rose 17 percent in March.
