PriceSmart revenues surge but profits show drop

The US-based warehouse club chain PriceSmart reported an increase in revenue in its main markets in Central America.
However, the profits of the chain fell by 3 percent, due to higher costs and an increase in foreign currency transactions.
Similar companies, such as Costco, have been hit by costs in maintenance and merchandise.
