Private-sector credit gets out of the hole in Costa Rica

After three years of a drought, credit to Costa Rica’s private sector has begun to flow once again.
A timid recovery began in the second half of last year, but since then it has begun to consolidate.
By March, year-on-year growth was at 5 percent. But much remains to be done. The May 2008 figure stood at 40 percent.
