Probe into Odebrecht role in Panama City Metro

Italian and Brazilian authorities have started an investigation into the participation of convicted wheeler dealer Valter Lavítola in contracts between Panama and the Brazilian company Odebrecht for the construction of ex-president Ricardo Martinelli’s flagship project, the Metro subway.

The investigation according to Brazilian media reports is based on telephone wiretaps conducted by the Italian government.
