ProNicaragua proposes increase in Russian investment following accord in April
Nicaragua's promotion agency, ProNicaragua, plans to increase Russian investment following the signature of an accord for reciprocal promotion and protection.
Russian investment in Nicaragua amounted to $10.4 million between 2004 and 2010, in areas such as farming, commerce, services and telecommunications, with Yota.
ProNicaragua hopes to receive a delegation of Russian business leaders in April. The group has shown interest in cocoa, peanuts, coffee, fisheries and sugar.
