Quarterly profits surge as Inmet Mining unit discovers new deposit in Panama

Minera Panama is awaiting the go ahead for the biggest private investment operation in Panama’s history.

No, the unit of Canada’s Inmet Mining, has discovered a new deposit and profits have surged.

In its quarterly financial report, Inmet announced a 66 percent increase in operating profit, to $51.4 million.
