Range Resources is ready for fifth Guatemala well

Texas-based Range Resources is ready to begin drilling its fifth well on the Atzam oil field in Guatemala, building on the success of the Atzam 4 well.

Construction has been completed at the Atzam 5 drilling location and drilling is to commence in a few days.

The well, which is testing the same carbonate resources as the Atzam 4 production well, is expected to take 40 days to reach its target depth of 4,100 feet.
