Real estate complaints in Panama surge

More than 17 percent of complaints filed with Panama's consumer protection authority, Acodeco, in the past eight years come from the real estate sector.

Real estate complaints are now the most common, and now reach $250 million.

The main causes for complaints are breaching of contracts and guarantees.
