Region agrees to integrate tourism

Integrating Central America as one tourism destination is the best option to boost the region's economic and social development, according to Central American politicians.

The region should work on policies to strengthen small enterprises that offer tourism, hotel, transport, food and handcraft services, said Paula Rodríguez, president of the Central American Parliament, Parlacen.

Small companies are the region's employers with most equality, as 93 percent of them are led by women, and 66 percent are led by young people.
