Region's exports down in first quarter

Central, America’s exports were down by 5.2 percent year-on-year in the first quarter, largely because of demand from Europe and the United States, particularly the latter.
The region’s total exports came to $7 billion in the quarter. Costa Rica, with a 5.5 percent increase, was the only country whose exports grew over the period.
