Region's largest wind farm secures funding

Panama's Penonomé wind farm, the country's first and the largest in Central America, has secured $300 million in funding from the International Finance Corporation for the construction of its second and third stages.
UEP Penomomé II, a subsidiary of InterEnergy Holdings, is in charge of the project.
Since December last year, the wind farm has 22 turbines installed that generate 55 Megawatts.
