Regional government aims to rescue collapsed fishing industry in Nicaragua

More than 90 percent of men in the southern Caribbean region of Nicaragua are unemployed by the fishing industry.
The last company that bought the catch in Bluefields left in its wake with thousands of jobless, many of then now emigrants to Honduras and Costa Rica.
Now the regional council is seeking for a $3 million aid project to reactivate the fisheries.
