Regional ministers to evaluate customs integration

The Central American Economic Integration Systems, known as SICA in Spanish, will hold a ministers' meeting in Panama on Thursday this week to discuss the development of the region's customs integration project.

The meeting comes a day before the SICA's Presidential summit, where Panama's pro tempore leadership will come to an end, Panama's Minister for Trade Ricardo Quijano said.

New technical regulations aimed at easing procedures and boosting regional trade were among the developments achieved in the region's customs integration plan this year, Quijano said.
