Remittances to El Salvador grow 8 percent

Remittances to El Salvador have grown 8 percent in the first half this year, compared with the same period last year, the central reserve bank said.
From January to July, the Central American country received $2.10 billion, mostly from the United States.
Some 3 million Salvadorans live abroad, of which 2.5 million reside in the United States, according to government data.
