Remittances to El Salvador up 8 percent

Remittances to El Salvador grew 8.1 percent from January to July this year, compared with the same period in 2013, the central reserve bank said.

During that period, El Salvador received remittances worth $2.46 billion.

Sixty percent of the total was processed through the country's banks.
