Remittances to Guatemala grow 10 percent

Family remittances to Guatemala grew 10 percent in January this year compared to the same month in 2013, the Bank of Guatemala said.
The figure represents remittances worth $394 million, compared with $305 million from January last year.
The bank added that the $394 million is the highest amount ever received at the beginning of the year.
