Remittances to Guatemala reach $5.5 billion in 2014

Remittances to Guatemala reached $5.5 billion last year, the country's central bank said.

The figure shows an 8.5 percent growth compared to 2013.

July and October registered the highest amounts of remittances, with $509 million and $500 million respectively.
