Remittances to Honduras reach $2.15 billion so far

Remittances sent by emigrants to their families in Honduras reached $2.15 billion so far this year through October 4, the nation's central bank reported.

That figure represents a $50 million increase on the $2.1 billion for the same period of last year.

This year's target is to achieve $2.94 billion in remittances, a 7.8 increase on 2011.
