Remittances to Nicaragua grow 6.5 percent
Tuesday, September 16, 2014
Remittances to Nicaragua reached $647 million in the first half of the year, according to the country's central bank.
The figure represents a 6.5 percent increase compared with the same period last year.
The increase is mainly due to a recovery in employment figures in the U.S., Costa Rica and Panama, the bank said.
