Rumors surround future of Avianca

Avianca told the Colombian financial authorities that “it has not signed any agreement, nor has maintained negotiations with any company about the matters that have been mentioned in the news”.

The airline’s denial was in reference to a Wall Street Journal story that claimed that United and Delta were interested in taking a stake in Avianca. Meanwhile, Reuters news agency has said that China’s HNA Group is interested in Avianca.
