Save-A-Lot lands in Guatemala

The US hard discount supermarket chain Save-A-Lot has opened its first Latin American supermarket in Guatemala.

Save-A-Lot, which has 1,300 supermarkets in the US earning some $4 billion a year in sales, aims to establish 12 supermarkets over the next five years in Guatemala City.
