Selina, a newbie hotel chain that is booming

This year, the Selina chain will be opening hotels in Costa Rica, Panama and Guatemala. The chain was launched as recently as 2014 in Panama and, from its Central American base, now has 42 hotels.Last year Selina opened a hotel in Portugal, it's first in Europe.

In Central America, the chain now has 20 hotels, including 10 in Costa Rica, five in Panama, two in Nicaragua and three in Guatemala. Selina has nine hotels in Mexico, with locations in Oaxaca and in the Polanco neighborhood of the capital.
