Senior US State Department official aims to meet in Honduras with business leaders

In order to reaffirm the strong bilateral relationship between the United States and Honduras, US Under Secretary of State for Democracy and Global Affairs Maria Otero will visit that country next week.

 

During her tour of Honduran capital Tegucigalpa on August 3-4, Otero will meet with senior Honduran government officials, human rights advocates, members of civil society, and the business community.

 

Otero is the highest ranking U.S. State Department official to visit Honduras after Porfirio Lobo became the country's president in January.
