Services sector is driving force of the Costa Rican economy

The services sector is the main driving force of the Costa Rican economy.

Growth in the sector is led by software and call centers. For the last two years growth in employment of professional staff has been strong and sustained.

No other area of the economy has been as successful in surviving the 2008 crisis.
