Severe floods destroy homes and highways in Panama
Heavy rain and severe floods last weekend in Panama caused the destruction of some 650 homes, two deaths, one person missing and damages to the country's roads.
The floods caused a section of the Trans-isthmian highway to close, as well as the collapse of a bridge. The highway connects the capital, on the Pacific coast, to Colon, on the Caribbean.
The government declared Colon, home to the world's second largest free port, La Chorrera and La Capira as emergency areas.
