Shipping awaits 'seismic shift' from Panama Canal

By the end of the summer, shipping will have come to grips with the meaning of the new, bigger Panama Canal, as the project is bound to become operational in a few months’ time.

By the end of 2016, analysts estimate that shipping will be able to assess the full impact of the new Panama Canal, which, in any case, is big news for trade routes and ton-mile patterns.
